We arrived in Banco Chinchorro after an overnight cruise from Hut Point. Banco Chinchorro is one of 3 atolls in the western hemisphere. We were the only boat there. This is where I almost maced the Mexican Navy. They came up to the boat in a launcha wearing their fishing clothes (shorts and knives). We didn't know who they were and would not let them board our boat. Later 2 other boats came in and the Navy boarded them in full regalia, uniforms with machine guns.
