About Us

SaltySailors.com the "child" of Thane and Tami from sailing vessel Heart of Gold.  We began our cruising adventure in April 2004.  We have cruised in Texas, Florida, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala.  We are currently in Key West, Florida working on the cruising kitty.

We started with a personal website we could update occasionally to share our adventures and photos with friends and family.  SaltySailors.com was born by people's interest in what we have learned along the way.

It is our hope that you will not only find a lot of valuable information, but be entertained as well.  We'd love to hear your comments, please let us know what you think and how we can improve the site to make it more valuable/fun for you, our valued readers.
