Guacamole Printable Version of this Recipe

by Tami, sailing vessel Heart of Gold

  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced*
  • 2 Serrano chilies, seeded & minced
  • 1 tbs. cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 small lime
  • Salt to taste

Peel and pit the avocados.  Place in a bowl and mash.  Fold in remaining ingredients and season with salt.  Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Makes about 2 cups.

*Some disagree that garlic is not authentic in guacamole, but I like it.
